Baked Goods

Here are the pictures and names of some of the baked goods I made.

My mother named this set of cupcakes “The Edible Beach”. I made this for her birthday about a year ago and she loved it! The cupcakes are red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. A little brown sugar made the sand topping and homemade chocolate sea shells topped it all off. To add more to the platter I made almond sugar cookies in the shapes of sand dollars and star fish.

To celebrate a great friend’s birthday I made her a cupcake vegetable garden. Laura loves to be in the garden and I knew she would appreciate a garden in cupcake form. The veggies are made of various candies and the dirt is broken chocolate cookies. The garden signs are made out of iced sugar cookies.

I made this set of 24 cupcakes for Father’s Day two years ago. With a father and grandfather who love golf it seemed like the perfect way to celebrate. The fairway is piped icing, the green is green sugar and the sand trap is graham cracker crumbs. This was fun and delicious!

To celebrate a day of red, white and blue I made a patriotic flower cake. The flowers on the top of the cake are made out of raspberries, blueberries, and almond slivers.

Berry Pies anyone? These cupcakes were decorated very simply with M&M’s and icing. Layout the candies and pipe a pie crust…these were easy as pie!

For my mother’s birthday I made this platter of cupcakes. All cakes were made of vanilla and chocolate swirl batter. The decorations were all inspired by the creatures of the sea.

Here is the final display of painting, palate, and cupcakes. They are mocha cupcakes with vanilla icing. Gotta love van Gogh

16 cupcakes and 12 mini cupcakes fill this bowl! The marshmallows were made to look like popcorn by slicing a mini marshmallow in thirds, arranging them in a cloverleaf form and sticking another marshmallow on top of those with icing.
