Day 13: Pumpkin Mousse

Alright, time for an original recipe. I’m usually pretty hesitant to make up a recipe on my own since you never know how it’s going to turn out. But mousse seemed like a pretty simple thing for me to try. I made this recipe because you could eat mousse on its own or do so many other things with it.
Here’s a couple of things you could do with pumpkin mousse:
– in a pie
– on a cake
– in between cupcakes
– as a dip with graham crackers
– or just on its own!

Pumpkin Mousse Recipe
1 3/4 cups heavy cream
1 cup pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/3 cup powdered sugar

1. Whip heavy cream until it forms soft peaks
2. Add powdered sugar to cream, continue to mix
3. In a separate bowl mix all other ingredients and add to cream
4. Beat mix until peaks hold their own shape
5. Serve or refrigerate
